Delete your Onu account

Onu is made by Tiny Loop. You can delete your account and its data at any time.

In the app

1. Open Onu.
2. Tap your photo at the top, then Settings.
3. Under Account, tap Delete account, then Delete my account.

By email

If you cannot open the app, write to hello@heyonu.com. Give the phone number of the account. We may ask you to confirm that the number is yours. We delete the account within 30 days.

What is deleted

• Your sign-in account and your phone number.
• Your name, profile photo and status.
• Your Onu link. If you are linked, your shared chat is deleted for both of you: messages, photos, voice notes, videos, answers, streak days and live location. Your partner stays on Onu and gets a short notice.
• Your push tokens, and link requests you sent or received.
• Everything Onu kept on your phone.

What is kept

• Database backups: each daily backup is deleted after 7 days. Your data can stay in a backup for up to 7 days. Backups do not include photos, videos or voice notes.
• Crash reports and analytics events: kept by Google under the Firebase retention rules. They carry an account ID, not your name or number.
• Anything your partner saved to their own phone, such as a saved photo.
